CEO, Co-Founder
Dr. Ole Langniß
Dr. Langniß has been working in the Renewable Energy Sector for more than two decades – first as a scientist, afterwards as a policy advisor and as a consultant in the energy economy. Since 2014, he is CEO of his own consulting company, Energie & Analyse.
He is also co-founder of the Smart Grid Plattform Baden-Württemberg e.V., deputy head of the large-area Smart Grid demonstration project C/sells and Lead Author of IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).
As an energy policy advisor to the Chinese government for more than ten years he brings in a deep understanding of the international energy landscape. Based on his long-standing national and international career, he contributes to OLI Systems’ success with his intimate knowledge of the energy sector and his worldwide knowledge network.

Peter Vogel
Peter Vogel and his brother Marco run a family business that was founded in 1923 as a forge in the Palatinate village of Harthausen. The enterprise group is active in the sectors automotive, real estate and energy and employs over 200 people at several locations. When Peter was studying business administration in Germany and the USA, he dealt with bio-cybernetic control cycles in companies and their surrounding sectors. In numerous projects, Peter Vogel plans and implements topics such as the sector coupling between the areas of mobility, energy / heat and buildings, e.g. in the Smart City Harthausen. This gave him the rise to the idea of a blockchain-based operating system to enable energy-autonomous quarters by means of digitization. Peter Vogel is a founding member of Ecoliance Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. and brings in many years of know-how in sales, finance and corporate management to OLI Systems.

Dr. Thomas Brenner
Dr. Thomas Brenner studied Interdisciplinary Sciences (M.Sc.) at ETH Zurich (Switzerland) and obtained his PhD from Cambridge University (UK) with a thesis on the physics of polymer solar cells.
He headed the Junior Research Group “Hybrid Optoelectronics” at the University of Potsdam (Germany) until he moved to Dr. Langniß – Energie & Analyse as a Senior Consultant in 2015. He is responsible for the European Smart Grid project “CALLIA” and is also actively involved in the SINTEG project C/sells. At OLI Systems, he is responsible for the interface between the energy sector on one hand and the design and development of hard- and software on the other.
